Dead SIM tray or modem?

Hey all.

I have a BR1 Max Pro 5G. Has been in operation in my RV since March of 2022. Connected to WiFi and cellular flawlessly up until September 25th. At that point. cellular stopped connecting. WiFi is still fine. Cellular just gets stuck on ‘connecting’. None of the SIM settings were changed and the router had been on the latest Firmware (and Cellular Firmware) for a while. SIM works fine in my other router and other SIMs don’t work in the Pepwave.

Submitted ticket. First level couldn’t solve and has sent up to Engineering. Awaiting their reply. Has anyone seen this?

Could it be a dead cellular modem or defective SIM tray? Is this common? Maybe vibration from road travel damaged the hardware?

Any input would be appreciated.

I’m experiencing the same issue. I have a Max Transit Duo with a warranty that just ended and all of sudden my cellular modems will not connect. My router is stuck trying to obtain an IP address. All settings are the same and my service provider claims its a hardware problem with the router. I’ve tried all sim slots as well as upgraded my firmware with no resolve.
Curious if others are experiencing the same issue and how they resolved.

Enquired about status of my ticket. Peplink said engineering was still investigating and that the cellular modem was in ‘abnormal mode’. anyone ever got that?

Mine just stopped working after about 8 months. No lights, nothing.
