Is it possible to create custom user roles? We have a need for a support user that can register new devices and potentially trigger device reboots, but would not be able to delete or change group/device or InControl settings.

Nope. Two options.

  1. Create your own web App that lets them add new devices and potentially reboot devices via the IC2 API.
  2. Provide training and monitor logs to reduce unwanted behaviour.

Yeah. In my experience option 2 very rarely works :slight_smile:

Agreed on Option 1 being the best path forward. This is something we can implement in the long term, but would be great to see out of the box from InControl. Is there a way to formally submit this as a feature request? (If this message doesn’t count)

We need this also and have found it to be an issue with customers. They want access to be able to log in and make certain changes, like port forwarding or basic updates, but not the ability to delete or change a SpeedFusion tunnel. Same with Wifi, people need to be able to manage and add SSIDs without being able to admin or change VPN settings.
