As title says
Create 3 VLANs in incontrol, assign them to a router (in this case balance one core) try to assign a static DHCP to a client via de the STATUS window in the router console, hit save/apply changes, sticks, incontrol overrides and deletes it.
At this time there is no way to have incontrol manage DHCP without wiping the existing DHCP leases created in the router, since Incontrol currently does not support the creation of Static DHCP leases in the UI, this creates a situation where customers networks are unuseable, VLANs are required to be administered in incontrol to manage the APs, theres no way to “turn off” DHCP handling from incontrol, and this is why we labeled it as critical.
The only solution/workaround is to create an excemption for the affected VLANs so that they are not propagated to any routers, creating them manually and having the router handle the DHCPs, but with 10 routers its bad enough, 100 or more would be a nightmare.
We welcome the new incontrol DHCP handling system its definitely a life saver but ATM we have hundreds of units with static leases, this just nuked our customers network, we had to revert to manually adding the vlans on the routers so incontrol wouldnt override.
As for fixes :
Not sure what would be easier to set a setting in incontrol with “do not override static leases” or flat out just add it to incontrol as an option (preferable)
Just reporting the bug.
