Control Peplink router using SMS commands

I have read the “SMS Control Command Reference” and set up my MAX BR1 Mini (HW-3) as shown in the document.

My initial test, using the command “help” worked fine and I got the expected response. The router was connected at the time.

I wanted the use of SMS Control for rebooting if I got into problems with some remote WAN configuration testing.

I did encounter problems and my WAN’s are shown as “disconnected” in InControl2. Now sending the reboot message, or the help command, gets no response.

I understood that the SMS Controls would work with “no data connection”. Is this different from when the WANs show as disconnected? Or, is there still a way to get an SMS command to the router?
