Configuration compatible between 580 (HW1) and 580 (HW2/3)

I would like to purchase the peplink 580 (HW2/3) for spare machine for existing one (HW1). But i have several problem.

I saw there are different between HW1 & HW2/3, My old Peplink BPL-580 is HW1 and the latest version of FW is 6.3.4. Is it ok to upgrade directly from 5.4.9?

And, after FW upgrade, is will be 6.3.4, is the config compatible with 7.1.0 on the new one to do a migration? Many thanks

Hello Martin_Tam,

I would recommend upgrading from 5.4.9 to 6.1.0 and than from 6.1.0 to 6.3.4 on your existing 580 HW1.

You should be able to take the config from the 580 HW1 and push that to the newer 580 running 7.1.0.
