Can I use PepVPN Star topology if all my device is in different subnet?

I’m new to the product.

Can someone tell me what exactly a “star” topology PepVPN means?

I understand in an Ethernet, a hub connects all device the same subnet.
Does PepVPN Star require all device in the same subnet too?

Finally, I got 2 units and tested myself. The topology is layer 3. It is nothing related with “HUB” concept in Ethernet.

Only when we are doing layer2 over layer3. We need same subnet
