Is there a way to prepend a BGP route for a single network block?
I can prepend all my routes via the neighbor prepend, but I only want to prepend a single route.
Is this possible?

Hello, @mjosephson
Using version 8.6.0 at bpl-two.
Look the image below.
Yes… You need to configure it.
Not sure where you indicating but the only Prepend I see if for the entire ASN, not a specific route.
example if I have the following routes
10.13.0.0/24
10.14.0.0/24
yes I can prepend to my neighbor with adding prepend in that box but that would prepend both /24.
I just want to prepend only the
10.14.0.0/24
Please…
At your device go to Dashboard > Advanced > BPG > New Profile.
This wil be your starting point.
You can find more informations about this at
https://manual.peplink.com/peplink-balance-and-mediafast-firmware-manual/
From the manual
AS-Path Prepending: AS path to be prepended to the routes received from this Neighbor.
Values must be ASN and separated by commas. For example: inputting “64530,64531” will prepend “64530, 64531” to received routes.
This is the only thing in that doc that is say prepend. and its for received routes.
Again back to my example
10.13.0.0/24 (AS Path 65001 ← prepend for this route)
10.14.0.0/24 (AS Path 65001,65001,650001 ← prepend for this route)

Both routes are going to be sent out to the neighbor.
But each have a different prepend set for each route.
You screen shot does not have anything for changing that. Hence the original question.
I apologize if I didn’t understand your original question.
Using google AI.
@James_Webster5240 is Mr BGP. he can help.
The Single Route Prepend option is currently not available.
Could you please share more details about your use case and the issue you are trying to address?
We understand that per-route AS-path prepending can be used for specific inbound traffic-engineering scenarios. Understanding the intended routing behavior and the problem you are trying to solve will help us evaluate the requirement and determine whether there is an alternative solution available.
Yes this would be for inbound route engineering, using prepend to control traffic.
Multiple Peplinks doing BGP and announcing the same routes and I would need to be able to control the traffic using that BGP property.
Is there any other type of BGP traffic engineering that can be done?
Do you mind sharing the type of router the Peplinks are connected to? If this is something like a Cisco router, you should be able to use a route map with a prefix list and/or ASN match and then set a prepend inbound or set local preference on the less preferred path. Or possibly send a community from the Peplinks for the route map to match on.
So I will have multiple Peplinks connected to multiple various carriers. So I don’t know what type of router I will be connecting to, but I expect it to vary between Vendors.
So I would not request a carrier to setup any route-maps on their side as my networks may change frequently and the time delay in getting that done would be a pain in the ass.
So it appears that my only other option would be to use a community, which seems my only option as prepending outbound on a Peplink seems not to be avaliable.
Ah, I made an incorrect assumption that the BGP peers were internal to your network. BGP communities are probably the best option for peering with ISPs anyway. Many ISPs have predefined communities you can send to change the priority of the prefix in their AS.
