Balance 20X - Obtaining IP address - stuck with 8.3.0, 8.2.1 o.k.

Hi!

I am having a Balance 20X, that is used on a “roaming destination” with the additional 5G module.
Both 4g/5g-interfaces are stuck on “obtaining IP address” for hours without any success.

I did just downgrade to 8.2.1 and immediately both interfaces connected successfully.
I re-upgraded to the latest 8.3.0 b5315 and the problem is back (obtaining IP address).
Downgrade to 8.2.1 → everything fine.

Do you have any idea, what happens?

  • APN is correct
  • SIMs are activated and fine
  • PLMN is chosen correctly

I have got this issue also. I’m using BR-1 mini.
Confirmed the location mobile signal is good but the router still obtaining IP address.

Will create ticket to Peplink follow.

Peplink-Support was able to provide a firmware, that fixes the issue…

I have the same issue with the pepwave max transit. I got an active connection by disabling health check on that cellular connection. Not a good workaround in mission-critical applications. My processor seems generally overwhelmed on this firmware, and I think heath check is one of the resource culprits.
