Hello Peplink team,
I have two Balance 20X devices and one shows sub menu for High Availability and the other does not.
Is a feature add-on required to enable HA features?

Hi. Just curious – same hardware and firmware versions?
@Dam, this is strange. Please open ticket for us to check. We need your help to turn on Remote Assistance as well.
Thanks.
The only other difference is first (left image) Balance 20x has OpenVPN enabled via feature add-on license and the second (right image) Balance 20x does not.
@Dam: Please let us know what happened after you submit your ticket. I don’t think what you are seeing is expected.
The other difference I noticed is SpeedFusion cloud vs SpeedFusion connect
Am I missing a feature addon or key for SpeedFusion Cloud vs SpeedFusion Connect to enable High Availability?
No, it was renamed in newer firmware. I’d recommend updating both of them to 8.2.1
That’s really bizarre. Guess the support folks will need to investigate it.
David: I’ll reiterate my suggestion to submit a ticket. I’d recommend posting the ticket number in this thread to the engineers can easily see the history and screen shots. And, please tell us how this was resolved – when you know.

For anyone with this issue, I ran into the same thing for a customer who purchased 3 Balance 20X for an HA solution. The resolution was to make sure all the new Balance 20X units had connected to the internet via one of the WAN interfaces at least once. This had to be done via an internet connection that allowed communication back and forth from Peplink’s license servers. Once that was done, the HA menu items appeared.
