It’s 1am and I’ve been fighting with this thing after working 60+ hours and need to be out by 6am later this morning. I just installed a MAX adapter 5G into my B20X kit as an extra kicker and trying to get it buttoned up to send out tomorrow. The max adapter will only recognize the sim cards if only one slot is populated at a time. If I have both sims in at the same time the B20X reports no sims present and the max adapter just reset loops indefinitely. If only one sim at a time is installed in the max adapter in either slot it works fine. WTH am I doing wrong? Thanks
Have you tried using 8.4 beta firmware?
Is this a known issue that 8.4 fixes? I’m not particularly keen on running beta firmware in a production environment. If nothing else I want to figure out if the max adapter is defective. If it is I’ll try buying another and returning the one I have as defective since that is the way it is behaving right now. In the meantime I shipped it with one sim card. It also takes about 5-10 minutes to connect since it just keeps resetting itself during that time after startup.
There are several things on the 8.4 release notes, that are of interest, that may or may not resolve your issue.
One thing I noticed was:
It’s possible your issue is similar and also resolved? RC3 just released so it’s going to general release, final soon. So you could always wait a week or two for the final release.
That looks like it possibly could be a related issue of interest. I’ll be watching for 8.4 stable then, thank you for your help. If that doesn’t solve the issue with the max adapter, i‘ll return it as defective and try another.
