B20X - Starlink HP Flat - Network to WAN Port - offline

All,

There are about 30 units of B20X in this same configuration with the same tag.
I am encountering this issue on 1 of the B20X.

Starlink HP Flat is connected using the network cable to Balance 20X WAN port.
The system will go offline and unable to connect to Starlink.
The Virtual WAN Port was activated on B20X Port 4.

When move the Starlink from WAN Port to Port 4 (Virtual WAN), the B20X will be online in InControl.

Thinking that it is a hardware issue, the B20X was replaced with another B20X, the same issue appeared again.

Please advise.

Thanks.

When you say offline… does that mean the health checks fail?.. or is it a network link status change? Can you still access the 192.168.100.1 management port? and what does the starlink app say during the outage events.

I would do a thorough remote network capture including the ethernet MAC addresses. I have found a very subtle Vlan bug with my b20X that can affect the stability of Starlink after they changed their software back in mid April.

The symptoms you will see is that the packets back to the WAN address of the peplink will switch from the MAC address of the B20X to some other MAC address that has leaked out to starlink… Since the return packets are being sent to the wrong MAC address the B20X ignores them and the health checks fail.

Make sure LAN port 4 is set to be an access port for whatever reserved VLAN you are using for vWAN. Otherwise it wont work.
