B-One 5G Cellular Interface not staying in Standby Priority

Hey Peplink Community. Got a weird issue whereas our cell interface (8.5 firmware), will not stay in Standby mode (Priority 2, 3, or 4) for more than 1 minute. Our WAN1 port has a local fiber connection which is super stable and not dropping any packets. Any thoughts?

Hello @Jon_Sletton ,

Have you set the standby to stay connected

And check or you health check settings, you may need to change this to an alternative method, to make sure your main path (WAN1 fibre) is connected and doesn’t fail the occasional health check, which via standard computer browsing may not be noticing.

Thanks for the reply.

Yes- the “Remain connected” options is selected and I’ve extended the Health check options to much longer intervals, but still won’t remain in Standby mode.

Any chance you have the Peplink app configured for this device? It will override the manual settings for WAN priorities.

Doug - you hit the nail on the head. I did have the Peplink app connected to the device. As soon as I removed it, BAM - worked like a charm. Thank you!!!
