Any chance of getting lower-tier 24/48 port fanless switches, with a smaller PoE budget to perhaps drive at most a half dozen APs for SOHO / small business? And, of course, the ability to configure it from a router dashboard rather than IC2.
I’m trying to resist going with UniFi for my next install, but options like this are pretty compelling:
UniFi 24 port fanless - 95W PoE
Anything on the horizon?

I have talked about this before as an “SMB” range of switches. 1Gb with 30w poe, single PSU, IC2 managed (or switch controller now).
I think 95w is to low for POE budget for a 24 port switch… I get the low cost/low poe budget part but it should be 150w ish minimum because even though many devices only use say 10w, they “subscribe” to the switch for a device class that might be 15w for example.

Ubiquiti’s lowest tier 24 port switch with PoE is 95W, and it would be perfect for my intended use - connect 12-16 hardwired drops and connect/power 4-6 APs. Would work well for me for residential or small business with structured wiring.
My lowest-tier Peplink option is more than twice the cost and potentially only supports IC2 config. That’s a non starter for me.
