Access AP One manual IP

I need to use AP One in manual IP mode, there is a bug with AP One 300m and Balance where AP does not get IP from Balance in AP Controller mode. So I need to use them in manual mode to make them usable and hope it is stable.

When put into manual mode, the AP is in the same subnet as Balance. The AP is using VLAN defined on the Balance and connected users are getting IP from Balance. However, I am unable to login to the AP from the balance subnet, and only way is to connect directly to the AP via ethernet.

received support on this, to make this work.

  1. On the AP set ip in the VLAN/subnet it uses. (10.10.10.2)

  2. Gateway & DNS is the Balance router’s VLAN ip (10.10.10.1)

  3. Management VLAN ID - set this to VLAN you want to use (400)

  4. In Wireless SSID - Default VLAN ID set this to VLAN you want to use (400)

  5. In System - Allowed Source IP Subnet - Allow from Following iP subnets - put in the IP subnet you use to connect to AP from (192.168.10.1).

  6. On the Balance, enable inter-vlan on the VLAN ID set on the AP (10.10.10.1) and network you use to connect to AP from (192.168.10.1).
