Hello,
I have built a site to site VPN thought Peplink 380 and 210.
When I Ping the remote site’s IP address. The result is below

Pinging 192.168.9.200 with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 5.192.37.78: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 5.192.37.78: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 5.192.37.78: Destination host unreachable.
Reply from 5.192.37.78: Destination host unreachable.

Ping statistics for 192.168.9.200:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
The PC of 192.168.9.200 is shutdown.
We would like to know why the external IP will reply to our internal network.
The VPN is private or not.

Hi,

5.x.x.x is our SpeedFusion tunnel interface IP. Believe you are doing ping test from Balance to remote host.

Don’t worry, this is normal.

Hi,

By default, a SpeedFusion profile will fully connect all selected highest priority WAN ports between two locations. For example, if Office A and Office B each have 3 x WAN connections, then SpeedFusion will connect multiple tunnels between Office A and Office B as shown in the following diagram:


Basically IP 5.x.x.x is using within each SpeedFusion tunnels.
