Trying to connect via VPN from Max Transit Duo

Hi,
my Max Transit Duo with Fusion bonding is usually working perfectly fine, but whenever I try to connect to work via VPN with my MacBook or iPhone it’s not working.
It seems like the actually VPN connection is working, but I can’t access any services - can’t conenct to the CCTV via iPhone app and can’t connect to the Synology servers via Transmit either.
Are there asome specific steps I need to take to get the VPN to work? I’m not an IT specialist;-)
